Crochet Flowers: A cute addition to any outfit

So last month I talked about Nicky Epstein’s Knitted Flowers, but what I’m realizing now is that I didn’t help any of you out there that don’t knit. Sorry all! Well don’t worry, Nicky Epstein is looking out for you guys and so am I.

If you love to crochet, you should definitely take a peek into this book. I mean with the flowers budding all around us now it’s very hard not be taken in by their charm. I know I’ve been spending more and more time outside. With Crocheted Flowers you can make your own little ornaments to adorn anything.

Nicky Epstein does it again. This book, like Knitted Flowers, is full of wonderful ideas for embellishments. Layered petal flowers, one-piece flowers, and felted flowers fill the pages with colors and inspiration. Make some flowers to revive an old cardigan or dress, or add them to purses, hats, and scarves to make everything feel new and fresh. You can even put pins on the backs of them and just make a couple interchangeable flowers.

This book has so many different flower patterns and examples of patterns and embellishments that it is hard to not get inspired. There is this amazing pattern for a rose wedding dress that, if I crocheted, would be the first thing I tried to make. It is just so beautiful.

If you want to read more about it, you can check out this review on It was written by the very talented editor of the site who knows much more about crochet than myself. Plus, there’s lot of other fun stuff on there too.

Of course, as always you can easily pick up this wonderful addition to any crochet-lover’s library at the CutRateCrafts store.

So do you guys agree? To crochet flowers or to not crochet flowers?
