In case you don’t make it to one of The Crochet Dude’s classes, you can still learn a lot from him by reading his books!
First up, we have In All Caps, a book about (what else?) crochet caps. Besides a clever title, this book boasts 7 original crochet patterns for stylish headwear.
In Must Have Handbags, The Crochet Dude has created 6 trendy bag patterns to crochet. Bags are a very popular item to crochet, as even beginners can often tackle them, and they make great gifts too.
Don’t forget about Fido! The Crochet Dude has filled this book with crochet patterns for your favororite furry friends–including beds, toys, and more for cats and dogs. Check out Sweet Pet Comforts!
I think every new crocheter should start out by making a dishcloth. These are a great way to practice a new stitch without too much of a time commitment, and dishcloths are functional too! You’ll find 9 crochet dishcloth patterns in All Washed Up.
Want even more Crochet Dude? We interviewed him on the May episode of FaveCrafts Radio. Don’t worry if you missed it–you can listen to all of our past episodes online here, whenever it’s convenient for you! The Crochet Dude talked with us about how he started crocheting, tips on making the lining for a purse, and what he’s currently working on! Check it out!
